My Time, My Way® for Students

This is how My Time, My Way®  for Students all began.

I always get asked, how did you come up with this program?  Well folks, gather around.  Here is a little story about the origin of My Time, My Way® for Students.

Each morning my son wakes up an hour early to practice violin.  No biggie.   It’s just what he does. (Click on the YouTube video below to help visualize the story!)

So, one morning I just happened to walk past his room during his early am practice. Classical music wafted over the airwaves.  Then the music abruptly stopped.

He removed his violin from his 11-year old shoulder and queried: What’s more important?  School?  Or Violin?

Wait a minute.  Stop the presses.  I was shocked.  He is that kid.  That high achieving kid with academic and musical accolades that run the length of an eagle’s wingspan.

This high achieving Son of a Time Management Strategist had no idea about the basic concepts of Time Management.

Well, I thought, if he doesn’t know, what about the other students??

My Time, My Way™  for Students was born.

So, what is My Time, My Way® for Students? My Time, My Way™

Students LOVE My Time, My Way® !

Parents LOVE My Time, My Way® for Students too!

“This program is run by my dear friend Dara. My oldest daughter had the opportunity to take this class last year and has repeatedly said how much she has benefited from the time management and study skills techniques that Dara introduced, or reintroduced to her. Her success can be measured by the increased confidence and independence in her academics as well as at home. We were very fortunate that she was able to take this class at Bethany, as these skills will be extremely beneficial to her next year in high school 😳 and beyond.
I’m looking forward to my youngest daughter being able to take it when she is in 7th grade, as well.”

“I can’t wait for my youngest to take this class too. My oldest was a solid, straight A student until 5th grade. She really began to struggle with balancing everything at school and at home. We stumbled and bumbled our way with B’s and C’s, not at all the norm for our child. We gave her tools and sought outside help for her as well, with some improvements but I believe that her confidence was crushed. Seventh grade started off better but after taking Dara’s class she really began to soar. Now she is back to consistently earning academic honors. She has taken charge in the high school application process, taking note of shadow dates and open houses and just really being proactive, where in the past my husband and I would have had to really harp on her to get her to get her act together. I could go on and on but to sum it up, it’s a been a wonderful supplemental program for her.”
