Best Crock Pot Lasagna Recipe
Let’s be honest. Sometimes trying to figure out the answer to “What’s for dinner???” can be a bit stressful. Here is a Simple Better Solution to creating a yummy lasagna meal using your slow cooker (crockpot).
Step 1 – Go to the grocery store and purchase the following: non-stick cooking spray, 2lbs of Italian sausage (I prefer turkey Italian sausage), two 24oz jars of tomato & basil pasta sauc
e, 2 packages of no-boil lasagna noodles, 30ozs of ricotta cheese, and 16oz of shredded Italian cheese blend.
Step 2 – Squeeze the Italian sausage out of the casings and brown it in a large skillet. Drain the fat. (I prefer to do this one day in advance)
Step 3 – Add tomato & basil pasta sauce and 1 cup of water to the browned Italian sausage to create a yummy meat sauce.
Step 4 – Spray the slow cooker with the non-stick cooking spray.
Step 5 – Place a layer of meat sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 6 – Add a layer of no-boil lasagna noodles.
Step 7 – Add a layer of ricotta cheese.
Step 8 – Add a layer of meat sauce.
Step 9 – Add a layer of shredded Italian cheese blend.
Step 10 – Repeat Steps 6 – 10.
Step 11 – Cover and cook on high heat for 4 hours.
Step 12 – Sprinkle with another layer of shredded Italian cheese blend.
Step 13 – Let stand, covered for 15 minutes.
Step 14 – Dig in!!!!
