Best Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn Recipe
We don’t have a microwave oven. I am just not a big fan. When something is reheated in the microwave, it tastes a little rubbery to me. Also, by the time you heat up all of the dishes, the first dish is too cold or too hard or too rubbery or too cold, hard and rubbery to enjoy. Since we do not have a microwave oven, guess what we can’t make? That’s right, microwave popcorn. We do have a popcorn popper. Yes, a good old-fashioned air popper. We add some kernels, plug it in, place a bowl underneath and wait for the kernels to heat up and pop right into the bowl.
We have always been on the lookout for the best cinnamon sugar popcorn recipe. To qualify for the best cinnamon sugar popcorn recipe it must be a simple and delicious concoction that we can create with our good old-fashioned air popper.

3 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
Melt the butter in a pan on the stove. Allow melted butter to cool.
Place the 1 cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon in a container with a top. (Here is a picture of the container that we use). Shake up the sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside
Place a bowl beneath the air popper. Place the popcorn kernels inside the air popper. Fill to the maximum fill line indicated on your popper. Plug in the air popper and enjoy watching the popcorn pop. (This is a thrill – for all kids from 1 to 99 and up)
Pour the melted butter over the popcorn. Tightly cover bowl with aluminum foil. Shake the bowl to help coat each kernel of popcorn with butter. (Here is the bowl and aluminum foil that we use)
Remove aluminum foil. Pour sugar and ground cinnamon mixture into the bowl. Tightly cover the bowl with aluminum foil again. Shake the bowl to help coat each kernel of popcorn with the sugar/ground cinnamon mixture.
